As much as he might want to, Suzaku could hardly spend all day locked up in his room. In addition to classes he actually had to engage in the "real world", which basically meant doing a lot of shit nobody liked but everybody did because their parents had told them too. That was...really difficult for him. But Suzaku wanted to change. Needed it. So he decided to start small.
For the last couple of days Suzaku had taken a few notebooks and sketchpads to the art room and began writing and drawing for about an hour or so at a time. Nobody had really talked to him yer and he didn't talk to them. Which was fine by him honestly. It wasn't enough but it was a step, and Suzaku had a couple more years to use this school to grow. He could afford to take it slow for now.
Right now he was drawing. His real strength, or at least what he was known for, was writing but he had done fanart as well. Currently he was drawing a bunch of anime girls in various poses. Line by line began to coalesce into familer figures but they weren't quiet right. It was irritating that they were so close and yet unmistakably off. He got into Hope's Peak Academy for shit like this? Shouldn't he be able to do even this much right?
Bad path to walk down. Don't get too deep. Breath.
Forget the fanart for now. Try again later. Practice fundamentals, sketch what you see.
Suzaku flipped to another page and began sketching a tree he could see clearly from the window beside him. Doing the simple stuff wasn't that satisfying, but it did calm him down when he got too self critical. The tree would have to do for now.
