The Rules
Let's try to keep these short, so we can get going faster, eh? If you have any questions about any of these rules, please ask staff about them!
- Be respectful to everyone on the board, guest or member.
- Characters can't be perfect, meaning they must have flaws. If fighting, then they can't always not get hit, unless there are special circumstances which can be reviewed by staff. Just as well, no one ever always hits, again, reviewable special circumstances by the staff may be made.
- Everyone is required to have a picture of some sort for their character that is 200x300 or larger. For the Classical Application, the image size is 425x200, but its built so any size works, though closer to 425x200 the better. One does not have to have a face claim, but it is suggested.
- Character limit; there is none, but keep up with your characters please! There will be activity checks from time to time, and if you haven't posted within the last week when the check ends (you'll have a week's notice) your character may be deleted (though if you contact staff about it, we'll waive that for you).
- Canons are allowed, which means canon talents are reserved, though each talent can be duplicated for each year, meaning there can be a SHSL Artist in Year 1, 2, 3, and 4, but not two SHSL Artists in Year 1.
- If you have a name and a talent that goes over two lines in your profile, try use a 175x200 avatar instead of the default 175x250 avatar.
- Character death. Sometimes it happens, you can have your character die, especially if its driven by the rising tension between hope and despair in the main plot. Just clear it with the staff first.
- What staff says goes. Hate to be all power-hoard-y, but we won't do much if its reasonable, most of the time. If we say your application has to be fixed because of something, then you won't be approved until that something is fixed. Or if we don't approve your plot, then it doesn't happen.
