After all, it's not like the world ends tomorrow, right? Words: 261 | Tag: @username | Notes: notes here ...Flowers are blooming and birds are singing as well. Daniel was still in his dorm room and looked outside his window, where he observed it.
"On days like these, students like me should be going for a walk in the park.", he thought. Really, all he looked for was an excuse not to do his homework now. So he got up from his bed and took a sip from a bottle of water.
Walking past several teachers and students, he greeted some and avoided others. He then made his way to a park that was nearby to the school.
The park was gigantic, and even had been the place for a few concerts and other events courtesy of Hope's Peak Academy. Summer festivals were held here as well, the whole works. Daniel enjoyed being here a lot if he wasn't busy either sleeping or playing video games or stuck in school.
There were benches scattered throughout the park with a trashcan next to every single one of them, with the center of the park having a large fountain that continuously spews water. Sometimes people throw in money to wish for something, other people laugh and try to fish the coins out of the water. Trees are giving shade, but they aren't so thick that one might think that the park was a forest instead.
"Well...", Daniel thought.
"Maybe I'll see some of my friends here? Someone's bound to be here."
Thinking these thoughts, he began to walk with his hands in his pockets and he began to whistle a jolly tune. created by M of PR

Willow had spent the last few hours cooped up inside his dorm with his laptop on, running tricks and checking the usual websites and boards. However he was going to have to get up for fresh air. Most of his tricks were on hold or had grown incredibly dull, and it was a lovely day outside so he might as well enjoy it.
So there he was at the park. He had brought his cell phone of course, he was both a product of his age and someone for whom the abilities of a smart phone were a miraculous help to his "work". However it was currently off, and he spent time merely observing the beauty of Hope's Peak's park. Normally his mind ran a thousand miles a minute and didn't stop for anything. It could be frustrating, irritating and draining. In peaceful places like this though...it could slow down and he could be a bit more content with just being. Few other things could accomplish that.
In the middle of this relaxation the trickster spotted a familiar face. It was someone from his year...Daniel something or other. His talent was...something ridiculous like Slacker. No, no it was Procrastinator. He wasn't exactly a friend of Willow's but he didn't see anyone else here he really knew and he didn't seem like a bad guy so...Willow figured why not? It might lead to something fun, and it wasn't like Willow had better things to do.
"Hey Daniel. Your in my year right? The name's Willow Fey! How are you today?" Willow said, putting on his "aggressively friendly mask". Back in Minnesota it was the perfect way to blend in with more conventional popular kids. People who were almost as socially conscious as him but had less intelligence in an academic sense. The trickster suspected the procrastinator might react well to it.

After all, it's not like the world ends tomorrow, right? Words: 106 | Tag: @username | Notes: notes here Daniel saw Willow, the SHSL Trickster approach and greeted him. He always felt bad if Willow tricked him, but he'd be damned if he had to say that Willow wasn't charismatic in the slightest.
"Yeah.", he replied to Willow. "I'm just fine. I just want to enjoy this beautiful day. How about you? Any new tricks you came up with?"
The Procrastinator knew he had to be somewhat wary of Willow, but he can't bring himself to put up a guard, Willow was that good. As long as only harmless pranks were played on Daniel, he didn't mind. It'd put some spice in his everyday life. created by M of PR

New tricks? He was asking him about new tricks? This was a satisfactory development. If Willow recalled correctly, Daniel had already fallen for several of his tricks, and it was likely that he would be able to fool him again. But did he want to? Where did he want this conversation to go?
"It is quite a beautiful day. I love spending time here on nice days like this. Today I have mostly been making the usual rounds. Unfortunately my attempts to open the minds of extremists has ended in pointless fighting. However some of my other plans are going forward and could prove more fruitful. In fact...one of my tricks in development could be helped by you. If you don't mind, could I have your phone number or a email you check regularly?" Willow said, still acting a little more cheerful and friendly then he felt.
Daniel could be useful. If Willow pulled off this particular trick right, it would be running in tabloids and local news stations with nothing better to cover for at least a month or two. A bit of a step down from national or international news however one must lay low for a while after the stunts that got him into this academy.

Daniel had no idea what Willow was trying to do, but that was the best thing about him. And if he could help? Even better!
"I guess I'll have to await further instructions later on, right?", he asked.

He gave it so willingly. Fascinating. That's the type of person he was.
"Good. Sometime in the next few days you will get a text message from my phone. I will be posing as a 31 year old woman named Wendy. Play along. Keep in mind that if things work the way I want them to, these texts will reach the tabloids and maybe some news stations. You will be known as my accomplice in this matter, so they won't reflect poorly on you. Any questions?" Willow said.
Honestly Daniel was perfect for this trick. Long as he played ball, Willow would infiltrate the inner circle easily. Then he would be able to expose some hypocrites and move a conversation forward in the public discourse. Revenge was...well that was a fringe benefit and was tied up with justice.
It was still an absolutely beautiful day out. She would like it here, of that he was certain.

"I'll just do what 'Wendy' tells me to. I'm not looking the part, but I'm pretty good at following directions. You may need to be patient, though, because of my talent. I hope you don't mind."
The Procrastinator still wondered what Willow was trying to do, and how Daniel could help him. Also he wondered if he was going to see more people on this day. Today was simply perfect. created by M of PR

At this point Willow was fairly certain that Daniel was a good person. Open, honest, trusting. He hoped the procrastinator would truly be fine with his name in the papers. Though he supposed fame was hard to avoid when you attend Hope's Peak Academy.
"So your talent...how does it work exactly. Hope's Peak wouldn't just allow a normal procrastinator to attend the school. What makes you an Ultimate? If you don't mind me asking of course." Willow said.
The trickster was genuinely interested. His own talent was a complicated one. A collection of random skills picked up and his innate personality that lead him to being perfect at fooling people. His own natural curiosity when it came to people and the complexity of his talent drove him to try to understand his fellow students and their talents. Willow didn't like when he didn't understand someone, at least in some small sense. It made him feel useless and anxious. And usually when he didn't understand someone, that was when the other shoe would drop.
No. Today was too beautiful of a day for such brooding. He was spending a day with a beautiful boy, he had a perfect plan in mind and he was going to call her tonight. No need for such trivial concerns as the past. He needed to look forward now. Not back. In that way laid madness. And wasn't looking forward what this academy was all about?

After all, it's not like the world ends tomorrow, right? Words: 145 | Tag: @username | Notes: notes here "Uh, you see, it works like this..." Daniel began his explanation. "You know how you sometimes get those essays and say they're due in like a week or two? I can actually start my essays about 30 minutes before they're due, and I can still get an A on them. Basically, the longer I wait before I do my work, the better I am at it. That's true for a lot of things in my life, but I hope essays were a good enough example for you."
Daniel wasn't sure how to feel about this. But if it helped Willow pull off his stunt, then all the better. On the other hand, there are talents even stranger than Procrastinator.
He scratched his head.

"That sounds like a very useful talent. It's not flashy but it has versatility and has amazing potential." Willow said. It was hard to say if this could help his plan...maybe. It all depends on to exactly how broad this talent was. Could it apply to social interactions? It was a wait and see sort of thing. The trickster would definitely be keeping an eye on the procrastinator for more then just one reason.
"Yes. I believe that is all for now. Just remember no matter how odd it might seem to play along when I contact you. I am sure you will do fine." Willow said. Then he took a seat on a nearby bench. For the moment he would just spend some time hanging out. If nothing much more happened in the park, he would head off. Maybe a visit to a bookstore might be nice...? And what about dinner? The cafeteria was extraordinary of course but to live in Tokyo and not sample local dinning establishments seemed a grave sin.
Thinking mundane thoughts like that, Willow wiled away a bit more time.

After all, it's not like the world ends tomorrow, right? Words: 131 | Tag: @username | Notes: notes here Daniel laughed. "I think you're the first person to compliment me on my talent. I mean, I have no clue on how being a lazy dude like me is being part of humanity's hope for the future or whatever they say here. Fact is: I'm honestly kinda jealous of people like you, having actual talents."
He then sat next to Willow on the bench. "But hey, my so-called talent beats getting here via sheer luck, right?"
The Procrastinator could only hope that the trickster didn't lie when it came to complimenting his non-talent. But on the other hand, even his friend Root thought that Daniel's talent was interesting, even if he's mean about it.
Daniel nodded to Willow. "Alright. I don't look the part, but I'm good at listening to people." created by M of PR

"I would hardly call that being lazy. You are still able to accomplish much are you not? Just in a limited time and better then most people. I would call that a talent worthy of being here in it's own right. My talent isn't very specific. I am less very, very good at one thing and more good at a wide variety of skills that relate to deception, that and my personality traits dictated me coming here." Willow said.
The trickster slowly got closer to the procrastinator, until their knees touched.
"There are people here for that reason aren't there? Nagito Komaeda in our year and....Makoto Naegi I believe in 1st year. I think their is also a girl in the year above ours, don't recall her name though. It would be interesting to see how they felt about getting into this academy for that reason." Willow said thoughtfully. The gears began to spin. Maybe he would have to have a chat with that third year or Nagito soon.
"I didn't mean to imply that you weren't. I just wanted to make sure you remembered. What "Wendy" says might take you by surprise after all." He said.

After all, it's not like the world ends tomorrow, right? Words: 148 | Tag: @username | Notes: notes here "Putting it that way..." Daniel began to answer Willow. "...that's true, too. In any case, there are a lot of people here with talents that don't exactly scream 'I am part of Hope!' to me. Like, I don't know, isn't there a member of the Yakuza in our year? Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu, if I recall correctly?"
Daniel looked at Willow when their knees touched, but otherwise wasn't bothered by it. It's not like he was allergic to the Trickster or anything.
"Is that so?", he asked Willow. "I think next time I'm in class I should ask them when I see them. Nagito seems to be the most easily reachable, though, since he's in our year."
He flashed a quick thumbs-up and a smile to his black-haired classmate. "Don't worry! I'm pretty reliable, and flexible as well!"

"Yes I do believe you are correct. I seem to recall a yakuza by the name of Kuzuryuu. I think his sister attends here as well. Though I hear she is a bit of a bully. I see your point, that not everyone here has obviously "Hopeful" talents. Still I think everyone has their uses and has probably cultivated skills relevant to their talent that are also relevant elsewhere. " Willow said.
Willow had seen Daniel look at him. He didn't seem overly bothered by it, but he was a bit surprised. The Trickster briefly considered taking it further, than merely responded.
"Yes. I may very well talk to Nagito as well. If you do I would be interested with hearing what he has to say. As long as you don't mind sharing it." Willow said. This shouldn't be much of a problem. He had only had brief contact with Daniel and Nagito so far, but they both seemed the open sort.
"Reliable and flexible. Exactly what I like to hear. You know, if your interested we could always hang out sometime. Grab a bite. The roof of the school has a great view of the city. And I have contacts that tell me of a variety of places in this city where two young men might get lost in diversion for a couple of hours." Willow added flashing the procrastinator his trademark charming smile. They were quite close now. The trickster had practically whispered it in his ear. If Daniel had failed to get the hint before, he certainly would now.
Unless he was particularly dense.

Daniel then nodded towards Willow. "Sounds good to me. In fact, I think my next class is with him, so I can tell you about it."
The Procrastinator then listened to Willow's suggestion, before getting slightly uncomfortable at the end of it. He then tried to assure the Trickster.
"I'd love to hang out some more, Willow, but I don't think the rooftop's a good place, because, you know, I'm kinda afraid of heights. But really, maybe there's some cafe or something where we can spend some time together."
Daniel then looked to his sides, visibly nervous. "I don't think that 'two young men getting lost in diversion' bit is gonna be healthy for me. If Kaneko figures it out, she'll screw my head clean off."
He then smiled a sad smile. "Sorry about that, Willow." created by M of PR
