Adrianna made her way down the steps of the bus with a cylindrical duffer bag in each hand, the inside of which held bundles of research papers (there were backups stored online too, but she always preferred having physical copies), vials of precious seeds and other vital things that she had trusted nobody else with.
Staring at the state of the building, it was hard for her not to feel at least a little disheartened. It looked bad enough as it is in the pictures, but the building somehow managed to come across as worse in real life. Any passerby wouldn't have even the slightest hint at how important what went on inside was, and perhaps due to that she should be grateful for this drab looking building. The ignorance of the commoners was a privilege that too little take advantage of, and so perhaps Alexander had chose this building for that purpose itself.. other than of course the prime location in which this land sits itself in.
She walked through the doors of the entrance and approached the.. the elevators, which didn't seem to be functional. Sighing, Adrianna wondered what other basic amenities this building had lacked, and how much out of her own pocket she should need to pay for them. Perhaps she could have a good talk with Alexander about it? After all, the elevator must be inconveniencing him too, right? It must have.
After making her way up some flights of stairs, she knocked on the door of what she guessed was Alexeander's main office. And she had to do just that - guess, for none of the doors had any signage whatsoever. Having had no response from the first door she tried, Adrianna sighed, looking helplessly at the many others that dot this corridor. Shaking her head, she resigned herself to her fate of trying each and every one. She had expected a much more.. welcoming greeting than this. At the very least, shouldn't he have been out there by the entrance waiting to see her?
"Mr.Alexander? Are you here?" she called out, careful to hide in her voice the growing amount of annoyance she was feeling.
"Mr.Alexander?"
