I'd rather trust and regret than doubt and regret "Did you read the news about that big star?" "He was found overdosed on drugs right?"
"Hey Manori! Wait for me "
The streets were as busy as they always were. Gossiping students and frantic lovers. "How lucky they must be to lead such boring lives.." The detective thought to himself as he observed the passersby, his coat floating with the wind as he walked down another street.
"Such a shame that the police will never find out he didn't OD and in fact it was his aspiring lover" He released a heavy sigh as he put his hands in his pockets. He hadn't been asked for help by the Tokyo PD to help on the case, but that didn't stop him from doing some light digging. Not that he would have helped on such a boring case anyway. But he could use some more away time from school, as he usually got bored pretty quickly. "Not that a student enrolled at HPA is allowed to complain." He said in thought, unaware that he actually spoke the line out loud until he found himself to be catching people's attention.
After brisking off some particular nosy parents he headed for his usual cafe, and ordered a coffee and took a spot on the terrace to partake in one of his hobbies, pedestrian reading. "See that's the beauty of a big city like this, everything looks fine on the surface. But smear that shield away, and you'll uncover all kinds of things"
((Now the ball is in your court, will you join the Detective or rather pass his eccentric being? Anyone may approach and join this RP as they wish.))

Yuukyoku slowly walked the streets of Tokyo. Sometimes it was good to get out and get a breath of fresh air or a change of scenery to help move the gears in her head along. Spotting a coffee shop she slipped in and ordered a drink before making her way out to the terrace, spotting Jun.
"Oh hey!" She exclaimed, walking over to him. "How's it going, Detective? Got any tough cases on your mind?" Yuukyoku had worked hard to memorize all of the other students at Hope's Peak. More than the classes, all of the people that were experts in these various fields were an unparallelled resource. Knowing who to talk to in order to learn about something she needed for a game made research that much faster.

Louise was already sitting in the coffee shop, her back turned to the two people who entered shortly one after another. Curious on who it was, the girl looked to the terrace and saw two of her upperclassmen, the SHSL Detective and the SHSL Game Designer.
After thinking about her options, she decided to pick up the drink she ordered earlier, before Jun and Yuukyoku entered the coffee shop. With the beverage in hand, she walked over to her two senpais with a smile on her face.
"Hello, Jun-senpai and Yuukyoku-senpai!", she said. "Both of you have good taste to have come here. This is my favorite coffee shop.", she stated.
She then took a sip of her drink.

I'd rather trust and regret than doubt and regret "Those to are currently in a divorce, and she's leading a double life based on her looks and phone use.. and that one.." The detective was calmly reading his passersby, smiling at certain ones. This all happily continued until a certain girl's voice pierced the crowd. "Oh hey!"
Jun uttered a small sigh "How's it going, Detective? Got any tough cases on your mind?" It was Yuuyoku Souzousha a fellow 3rd year student. "Hello miss Souzousha, to answer your question. No work has been shallow lately, I'm merely killing time out here. How are you doing yourself?"
Happy... The Detective was happy something came along and broke up the same old boring day in Tokyo.
Shortly thereafter though it seems another student had joined in on their conversation. "Hello, Jun-senpai and Yuukyoku-senpai!", the girl spoke. "Both of you have good taste to have come here. This is my favorite coffee shop." He didn't recognize the girl immediatly, though she knew both Yuuyoku and himself, so she must be a student at HPA.
"Based on the fact that I've never seen you at any of the upperclass meeting I take it you're a.... first year?" He didn't really have concrete evidence of course. But he felt pretty good about his answer nonetheless. "It appears we have not met, at least I don't recall. My name is Jun Yamazaki, Third Year Student at HPA enrolled as Ultimate Detective. Who might you be fair lady?"

Louise nodded to Jun's statement. She had to giggle after being called a 'fair lady'. Nobody ever called her that before, at least nobody who was in her age range.
"You're right!", she said with a smile on her face. "I'm Louise Sanguene, and I enrolled into Hope's Peak this year. I just couldn't leave my older brother Luigi alone around here. Also, they accepted me as the SHSL Taste Tester."
She took another sip of her drink and then looked into it to see how much she had left. After further inspection, she had about half of her beverage remaining.
"So, as a detective, do you, like, clear up murders or something?", she asked with excitement in her voice.
"And if so, isn't that exciting? It's probably not as exciting as TV makes it seem, but still! It's murder!"
Realizing what she had said, she bopped herself in the back of her head with her free hand.
"Oops! Sorry! Blood excites me a bit too much.", she then tried to look innocent while she whistled a tune.

As Jun seemed not adverse to her presence, Yuukyoku sat down as Louise came up and joined them. The Taste Tester said some, well, potentially misunderstood questions, but she was related to that butcher so it wasn't like an interest in the bloody was that far out. "No, it's fine. I wouldn't mind hearing about some of the cases you've worked on either, or even just your method. Mystery Games are usually really popular, if done right, so some insights from an actual detective would be great!"
Yuukyoku took a sip of her iced coffee through the straw and waited to see what Jun would talk about.

"Noted as slightly risky" The Detective smiled happily as the girl barraged him with questions.
"No, it's fine. I wouldn't mind hearing about some of the cases you've worked on either, or even just your method. Mystery Games are usually really popular, if done right, so some insights from an actual detective would be great!"
"Well today seems to be more exciting than I originally anticipated" He gave both ladies a gentle smile and took a sip from his cappuccino before answering. "To answer your questions miss Sanguene.. Yes my work does include murders. But I cover a variety of topics, but murder is my favorite." He took another sip before continuing his story "Exciting isn't a word I would use dear, though there is something about a good murder that drives me. But I'll spare you both the psychological explanation." He gave a bright smile "As for the other part of that question, TV makes it all a bit prettier than it is. Though some of it is true." He laughed, scratching his head "But my work is a bit more exciting than any other detective, since I kind of operate on a special license" He flashed a badge with the words Japan NPD Special Operative inscribed on it. "This puppy allows me to leave class when the PD calls me, and access to some other detective-y stuff"

Louise looked at the badge Jun presented, and her mouth let out an "Ooooooh."
Just thinking about her namesake is enough to make the Taste Tester happy. "So if I went and stabbed someone in the back, you'd come and deduce I was the culprit, right? And then they'd throw me into jail. I... I mean, not that I wanted to, anyway."
She took another sip of her beverage. Louise could feel that there was only a quarter of her drink left.
She then looked at her other senpai.
"Yep, mystery games are fun. Sadly, I don't always have the time to play them. I like figuring out whodunnit, how they did it, and why, the works. But my brother is a spoilsport! I swear, he does it on purpose!"
Louise was kinda embarrassed that she so openly showed her affection for blood and death. But that's how she was, and nobody could change that fact.

Yuukyoku took a long look at his badge, probably studying it for authenticity in a game or something, before looking back up at him. Thinking about something for a moment, she smirked. "Hey, Jun. I've got a request for your services if you'll hear me out. There's someone I've been wanting to get in contact with for some game research but I actually don't know who they are, if that makes sense. Do you think you can find out for me and see if they are willing to meet with me?"
Turning to Louise, she said, "Yeah, spoilers are the antithesis of Mystery games. I think you might like Suspense games instead then? The appeal is less 'Whodunit' and more the suspense of knowing you're in a dangerous situation. You can't have danger you already know about spoiled."

Jun let out a soft laugh "Yes I would come and do that, and I'm quite good at what I do so I really advice against Challenging me" He gave her another kind laugh. "She definitely seems to be a little too lighthearted about all of this"
He shook off the thought and finished his coffee. Though the words Miss Souzousha spoke next nearly made him choke in excitement.
"Hey, Jun. I've got a request for your services if you'll hear me out. There's someone I've been wanting to get in contact with for some game research but I actually don't know who they are, if that makes sense. Do you think you can find out for me and see if they are willing to meet with me?"
A case! Finally something to do! The detective nearly lept out of his seat.
"But of course Miss Souzousha! I would be more than delighted." He quickly reclaimed his cool. Straightened his clothes and a wave of seriousness emitted from him.
"Now then, You want me to find someone but you don't know who this person is?" He frowned "Now that won't be easy.. hmm... Do you have anything for me? Like an alias? Place of Residence? Photo? Because if I have nothing to work with, I'm afraid there is nothing I can do for you." He gave another stern look. "I don't have super powers.. sadly. Anything regarding this mystery person will help me get a case started"
Despite his willingness to take the case then and there, if he accepted but couldn't find out anything it would just be a let down for the both of them. So he awaited her answer with anticipation.

Louise looked at Yuukyoku.
"Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. Can't have Luigi spoil me about things I already know about. I think I'll be taking a look around. Thank you, Yuukyoku-senpai!", she said.
The Taste Tester then looked out of the terrace everyone stood on, and just looked at the people below her. Without particularly thinking, she murmured. "Outside of us, I do wonder how many people down there are SHSL Students like us..."
She took a final sip of her drink, emptying her cup. She then let out a disappointed "Aww..." Louise really didn't have much to say, and with her drink gone, she figured it'd be time to leave soon anyway.

Yuukyoku let out a bit of a laugh at Jun's reaction. "Well, it's funny that you mentioned super powers..." She said before focusing a bit more herself. "But, have you heard about that Super Hero running around the area? I mean, an actual Super Hero apparently! Running around in some kind of bird suit and beating up criminals! Think of the useful information I could get if I could talk to him about what life as a Super Hero is like!"
Yuukyoku had to calm herself down a bit more. "So yeah, is that enough information? I don't really have much, which is why I'm asking you for help."
She then turned to Louise, "I'm glad I could help."
