Mei Meiyo's eyes shifted around as the scenery changed around her. Joo-Eun had invited her to come with her, but hadn't told her where, and, frankly, Mei was a little wary. The trees had vanished and the terrain had flattened out. It didn't seem like the type of place where Joo-Eun would want to go, and Mei knew that. The Kenjutsu Master shuffled around with the katana on her lap. Wearing it would have caused a big discomfort as her back rest on the seat. Slowly, the ground became cluttered with some grainy pale stuff that Mei wasn't familiar with.
Joo-Eun's face betrayed nothing of her emotions or what she was thinking and Mei could only guess why they were in this unfamiliar location as she stepped out of the car. The grainy stuff made a soft crunching noise as her feet touched it and she slung her katana back over her shoulders, "Joo-Eun... Where are we?" The black haired girl looked at the stoic Joo-Eun, confusion evident in her intense red eyes. She calmly waited for the white haired girl's response.

Crap, I took another wrong turn didn't I? Was Joo-Eun's thought as she closes the engine of the car and steps out. She had originally planned to take Mei out to an old library that she had read about in a blog, after all, she knows that Mei loves reading. Joo-Eun observes her surroundings as she gets out of the car and sees that they're in an empty beach. This was not part of the plan. Although it is the perfect day for a good swim and the white, grainy, sand and silent lull of the waters are inviting, Joo-Eun reminds herself that they have a library to go to.
Great. Just great, let's see you get out of this mess, Joo. She thought to herself.
"Joo-Eun... Where are we?" Joo-Eun cleared her thoughts and gave a small smile to Mei, covering all her emotions to not worry her, she replied, "Just took a little detour, let's get back in the car to go where we're supposed to be headed," she hops into the car and tries to open the engine. Keyword: tried.
Huh, old car won't start again, I should give it a few more tries. And so she did, once, twice, thrice, four times until the car emmitted a weird hissing sound and dark smoke came out of the engine. Joo-Eun coughed, covered her nose, and went out of the car.
"This is not good..." Joo-Eun muttered and looked at Mei, she noticed that Mei watched the whole thing unfold and is embarassed, she makes no sign of it save for a small clearing of her throat.

Mei flinches as the car emits a black smoke and she steps back a bit. Joo-Eun said something, but it was too quiet for Mei to hear and she just watched as Joo-Eun cleared her throat. It was a nervous habit that the Poet barely showed, but the lack of any other notable tic made Mei wonder if she was really nervous, per se. After all, it seemed like such a weird thing to get embarrassed over. So Mei dismissed it as just Joo-Eun trying to clear her lungs of the smoke.
Mei took the time to look at the surroundings. The pale grainy stuff was everywhere and only covered the ground more and more until it eventually was the ground. It then tapered off into the most vast amount of water that Mei had ever seen. "Where are we...? I've never seen anything like it." The air tasted salty and there was a loud crashing sound in the air. The noise bothered her a bit, but the rest of the area seemed so calm and peaceful. Maybe she could get used to the noise.
