Naoya Akamura A world without beauty is lifeless TAG Hajime Hinata WORDS 450 If you have any questions, come to me! | How much time had passed? An hour? Twelve? He probably wouldn't know. Though, he figured, with the light shining through his curtains turning a deep shade of orange, that classes had ended not long ago. Glancing back to the canvas directly in front of him, he felt satisfied with the piece. For once. Though it wasn't a particularly daring work. Didn't go very far out of his comfort zone. It was simply a nature piece, brimming with wild and plant life. He decided to paint it for his instructor, as a sort of apology for not attending class in over a week. Ultimates, of course, weren't required to attend classes. But he wanted to apologize, none the less. Standing to his feet, he felt light headed. And no wonder. Clearly his encounter with that peculiar girl, Ayaka Umino, the Ultimate Mangaka, from a few months ago hadn't taught him any lessons about self care. He was definitely on the skinny side, having barely eaten in the past few days, and dark bags had formed under his eyes. Much like a certain animator he's heard of, Naoya wasn't on the healthy side thanks to his work. The fumes in his dorm room probably weren't helping his head. "..Staying in here probably isn't helping my head." He muttered to himself, brushing some hair from his eyes. With a sigh, he walked towards the door, deciding to wander around. Besides, staying cooped up in his dorm room wasn't going to help his muse. By that time, Hope's Peak Academy had been bathed in the golden light of sunset. The absence of sound, aside from some early rising crickets, left a peaceful atmosphere all across the campus. He wondered where his classmates spent their time at this hour. Come to think of it, he wasn't exactly well acquainted with his fellow Ultimate students. In fact, Naoya was borderline antisocial. Approaching the fountain at the center of the court yard, he stopped at the edge, staring at his shimmering reflection. Well, he could look worse. Maybe Ayaka did rub off on him, after all. Half a year ago, he would look like a zombie before deciding to take a stroll. Sighing, he turned on his heel, before sitting down on the fountain border. He stared up at the school, towering over the area, spreading a shadow as the sun sank below it. The school where talent went to bloom. "There's little I can imagine that could be a more hopeful sight." He spoke to himself, smiling. A tinge of pride lay on his face. Little did he know that another student was nearby. Though.. not a student of the main school. Not one with talent. |
